Introduction

Voopoo is a Chinese brand known worldwide because of the buzz caused by its excellent Drag X.

In 2016, the brand, initially dedicated to technological innovation in the medical and industrial field, decided to go into the vaping business.
In 2017, the Drag is launched with the first insta-fire (0.0.25s).
In 2019, the Vinci range is launched.

With Voopoo, expect : research, innovation, design and big clouds.

Let’s talk about this kit

The Argus GT kit comes in a plastic box, a nice little detail if you want to travel or store it safely.

The box needs 2 x 18650 batteries (not included) and is particularly light. It’s equipped with a Gene TT Chipset which offers a very constant voltage and an excellent reactivity when switched on. Automated, it recognizes the installed coil and suggests the best power for it.
It has a Fire button, + and - keys for the settings and a screen showing all the useful information, such as the autonomy of each battery, the power in watts, the mode (Smart or Manual), the value of the installed coil, the duration and the number of puffs.
3 clicks on the Fire button allow you to switch between Smart and RBA modes, the latter offering the possibility to use rebuildable tanks. 3 new clicks allow to change the mode (Ni, Ti and SS - temperature control). Settings can be locked by pressing the + and Fire buttons simultaneously.
Equipped with a 510 connector, the box is of course compatible with the PnP Pod tank delivered with, but also with any other tank equipped with this pin, such as the SKRR-S which also allows to make big clouds and offers a very large capacity (8ml).

The PnP Tank delivered with the kit has a capacity of 4.5ml and is compatible with PnP coils :

  • 0.15 ohm for a power ranging from 60 to 80W
  • 0.2ohm for a power ranging from 40 to 60W
  • 0.3ohm for a power ranging from 32 to 40W


Its magnetic cartridges allow you to easily change the liquid and thus vary the pleasures, but they’re also very easy to replace if you break them..

This kit is simply ideal for full of flavours cloud chasing !

And so ?

We’ve asked Steve, Logistics assistant at Sweetch, to test this kit. He paired it with the Red Astaire 50ml, a mixture full of flavours : red fruits, black grapes, eucalyptus notes and an aniseed and mentholated touch !


He shared his impressions with us :

What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?

I thought it was nice, both the colours and the design. And the plastic box that comes with is very practical.

How was it getting started ?

Installing the coil is very simple. Simply turn the cartridge over and position the coil.

Filling is really simple too ! And the hole is big enough, so there is no real risk of overflow.

Placing the batteries and the settings are very intuitive.

How was your experience with this kit ?

I really liked its ergonomics. And it’s super light for a double battery.

The kit really produces a lot of steam with a very aerial draw. The steam is dense and not too warm, and the flavour rendering is very nice.

As far as autonomy goes, obviously since it’s a double battery, if you don't use it constantly at the maximum of its capacity, it really has a great autonomy !

Have you encountered any difficulties ?

Changing modes is a bit complicated at first. But once you’ve got it, it’s easy enough and most importantly it's not something you use often.

Who would you recommend this kit to ?

It will suit a beginner as well as an intermediate looking to make big clouds.

Conclusion

Voopoo’s Argus GT is an ideal kit if you are looking for something simple to use and big clouds. Very reactive, the dual battery box has a maximum power of 160W and is compatible with every 510 connector tank.
The PnP Tank has a capacity of 4.5ml, is very easy to use and offers an excellent rendering of flavours.
