We've asked Michael, Sweetch shop manager in Neuchatel, to test this new Nexi One kit from Aspire. He shared his thoughts and feedback with us :
What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?
I first thought of the 'Cigalike', which we used to find in chemists' shops. So, at first, I had low expectations of the device.
It was its small size that really interested me and pushed me to give it a try to see what it could offer in terms of sensations.
How did you get started ?
The device is really very easy to handle. It looks just like a cigarette. Only slightly wider and longer than a real cigarette. You can easily hold it between your fingers like a traditional cigarette.
A small case lets you store it and recharge it.
All you have to do is place the cartridge on the device, and it's ready to use.
What's your experience with this kit ?
My first experience with Aspire's Nexi One kit was rather unexpected.
I'll remember my first puff for a long time.
The draw is pleasant, restrictive without being MTL, and the pod is responsive. Still, I would have appreciated a softer mouthpiece for a better feel around the lips and to be able to pinch them better.
I started the test with a 20mg Classic Virginia cartridge, and the nicotine level sent a real hit down my throat that made me cough. Too strong for me, I switched to a 12mg Classic Caramelwhich for me was still a bit strong for regular use due to Aspire's choice to use classic nicotine rather than nicotine salts that are less strong in throat.
On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by the longevity of the cartridges, as well as the battery life.
In fact, one cartridge allowed me to vape for 2 days without change, and I only had to recharge the Nexi One after 48 hours by putting it back in its case after each use.
It took me less than an hour to fully recharge it, and its little flap reminded me of a lighter. Playing with it became quite addictive !
