Introduction

As you may have noticed, we’ve recently introduced a VapeCare category with surgical masks and hydro-alcoholic gels. We’d like to explain the reasons for it.

Since the beginning of COVID-19 in Switzerland, we’ve had to reorganize ourselves in order to be able to work safely and ensure the shipment of orders coming from our website.

The effectiveness of wearing a mask as protection is not guaranteed, but still reduces the risk of contracting COVID-19.

And, wearing a mask certainly prevents the projection of droplets of saliva when coughing, talking or sneezing. The mask therefore helps to protect those around us. The FOPH also recommends that you always have a supply of 50 masks per person at home, so that you can wear them in the event of a communicable disease.

Sweetch protects itself and you too !

As you know, our stores are currently closed and our office teams are working from home as much as possible. But, as mentioned above, our logistics team has to come to work to handle the many orders placed on our site (we’ll never thank them enough for their hard work and you, for your loyalty !).

In order to protect them as well as possible and to anticipate the reopening of our stores, we tried to get masks and protective equipment. It was tough : the shortage in Switzerland and worldwide is a reality.

So we turned to our Chinese suppliers in the hope of being able to order some.
What a relief when we received a positive response ! But it had two big surprises in store for us : the minimum order quantity and the unit price.
Indeed, it was impossible for us to order just what we needed. So we decided to order the minimum quantity imposed and thought about what we could do with the rest. And the answer was obvious !
You can benefit from it too.

RFOPH recommendations :

  • Carefully cover your mouth and nose with the mask and fasten it properly, eliminating any gaps between your face and the mask as far as possible.
  • Avoid touching the mask while you’re wearing it. Once you’ve touched a used mask, for example when taking it off, wash your hands with soap and water or clean them with a hand disinfectant.
  • As soon as your mask gets damp (every two hours or so) replace it with a new clean, dry one.
  • Never re-use surgical masks.
  • Never keep them after use; dispose of them immediately after use.
  • A surgical mask on its own won’t provide complete protection. It should always be used in conjunction with other hygienic measures to reduce the risk of transmitting the COVID

Conclusion

Sweetch tried to get masks and disinfectants to best protect its teams. Considering the minimum quantities to order, we’ve decided to let you benefit from it !

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
