What is the Bottom feeder? BF

Introduction

Squonk comes from the noise it makes when pressing on the bottle according to some english users… The first bottom feeder box was created in 2009 when a member of the vape forum  (ECF)sold the first model. Sadly, the idea was dropped until Robert O’Neil, another member of the forum, created the famous REO as shown on this picture.

But what is the bottom feeder ?

It is a new way of vaping that is starting to become popular in Europe recently. The terms Squonk, Bottom Feeder or Squeeze box (to squeeze = squeeze) refer to atomizers fed with liquid from below.

Bottom Feeder, in its literal translation, means: fed from below. Unlike conventional boxes that have an e-liquid tank placed on the top of the device.

So we are talking about a box in which is integrated a bottle of e-liquid, allowing by pressure on it, to raise the e-liquid directly on the cotton of our RDA (Dripper) while passing in the pine of pierced connection (Pin BF) of the atomizer. In summary, a dripper with a large deported tank: the advantages, without the disadvantages!

Indeed, what is often criticized about Dripper is the fact of not having any capacity (except for RDTA). But the BF allows us to take advantage of all the positive points of the RDA, that is to say, a large production of steam and an exceptional rendering of flavors, without having to drip (action of depositing a few drops on the cotton) , to systematically repeat after a few puffs.

Utilisation:

To fully enjoy  the Bottom Feeder you need a specific mod for it. We now have the choice between meca mods like Stentorian, or electro mods like Hcigar. This choice will of course depend on your tastes and preferences in terms of usage, but also your knowledge of the technical specificities of the world of the vape.

Indeed, the meca is not recommended for beginners, because we must be able to understand the different concepts relating to the use of these: Ohm's law, accu and of course know how to make the builds of the coils. On the other hand, the electro mods will be recommended to a wider public, even of beginners, because judged safer and simpler to the daily use than their mechanical cousins.

There are of course many other models, the big brands of e-cigarette are all in the race for the BF (Bottom Feeder) and that since KangerTech launched the avant-garde DRIPBOX.

Once your mind is  set on the box most adapted to your style of vape, you will then have to find your  RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers, or rebuildable atomizer). The selection is vast, including Goon, Resurrection, Peerless, ...
