We’ve asked Denise, Executive assistant at Sweetch, to test this kit. She paired it with Curieux’s Genmaicha e-liquid, a tea she particularly likes, made of green bancha tea and roasted rice. Subtle and not too sweet in flavour.
She shared her impressions with us:
What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?
I must confess, I’m particularly fond of this brand. And I was not disappointed with the dotStick. It’s very pretty and discreet. Its materials and finishes are really high-quality.
How was it getting started ?
It’s quite simple to use. The o.4ohm coil is pre-installed.
There’s just one trick, you have to press lightly on the tank to unscrew it from its base to then be able to fill it or change the coil. I really liked the valve system for the filling, cleaner than when there’s just a hole.
Otherwise changing coils and placing the battery are very simple.
Nevertheless, I took a look at the instructions for the settings (power change, activation of the dry burn mode, etc.). Everything is very well explained.
How was your experience with this kit ?
I went with the 18350 battery, because I find the kit very cute in this size. Of course, you lose a little bit of autonomy, but I don't mind.
And the autonomy on a MTL draw (so low power) is very good with this battery !
I tried the 2 coils :
With the 0.4ohm, even on the lowest power and with the airflows fully open, there’s a lot of steam production, the flavours are very present, and the steam is warm. When increasing the power (20/24/27W), we really notice an increase in the amount of steam, temperature, and flavours ! The ideal is to associate it with the small "standard" drip tip.
