aspire mixx - nautilus GT

Introduction

Aspire is a Chinese brand founded in 2013. It has always strived to provide customers with innovative and high-quality products.
The Nautilus series were the first to offer an adjustable airflow, a little revolution for the vaping community !

Aspire is a team of professionals specialising in research and development, carrying out strict quality controls on their products.

Let’s talk about this kit

The Sweetch team has racked its brains to provide you with an aesthetic, high-performance and versatile kit, ideal for a tight draw (MTL). Naturally, came the association with the MIXX mod and the Nautilus GT Mini tank, both from Aspire.

Let's start with the MIXX : between a box and a tube, it's a mod with a design that’s out of the ordinary.
Its particularity ? With a few screwdriver’s turns, you can change its height from 53 to 83mm or vice versa ! Why would you do this manipulation ? That way, this mod adapts to both 18650 and 18350 batteries.

For more autonomy, go with the 18650. For a compact and discreet kit ? Go with the 18350 !

It has a maximum power of 60W and its ASP Chipset allows to vary between 3 modes : VW, VV and Bypass. The settings are very easy, thanks to the +/- buttons and its 0.91' screen under the mod shows all the useful information.
And it’s equipped with all the usual safety features.

The Nautilus GT Mini is the latest addition to this already proven range designed by Taifun, a German player in the high-end vape industry. Aspire has taken on the task of manufacturing it.

A very strong tank meant for a tight draw, with a diameter of 22mm and a capacity of 2.8ml. Enough to last you throughout the day !
It offers an excellent rendering of flavours thanks to its Nautilus BVC coils. It comes with a 0.7ohm coil for a warm-hot steam in a restrictive aerial draw and a 1.6ohm for a tighter draw and high nicotine levels. Its airflow can be very precisely adjusted.

And so ?

We’ve asked Julien, sales representative in our shop in Geneva, to test this kit. He combined it with Start’s Tobacco Mint e-liquid, a delicate blond tobacco with a touch of mint for freshness !

He shared his impressions with us :

What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?
I think this kit really stands out ; it has a unique design. I actually expected a much higher price for the box.
And it really gives the impression of quality and reliability.

How was it getting started ?
It was very simple. The settings are very "basic", you don't need to know much about vaping.

Placing the coil and the filling are also very easy.

The only difficulty could be changing the tube depending on the battery, but in the end it's only two screws to change. So nothing too complicated.

How was your experience with this kit ?
I was surprised at first. Indeed, the Fire button is positioned quite low on the box. So it’s actually at the level of the middle finger and not the index finger. But it's just a matter of habit !

The screen under the box is well thought out : it’s surrounded by metal, which protects it and prevents it from breaking in case of shock. Both the box and the tank are really resistant and of good quality.

As far as battery life goes, I used an 18650 battery. It lasted all day long !

The box does not have a charging port. Which might be a downside, but in the end it's not. Sure, you have to have a replacement battery or the charger on you, but we also know that charging the battery directly in the box greatly reduces its life expectancy.
This way, no risk ! Using an external charger will increase the life of the battery.

I really like the Nautilus GT's flavour restitution. And big plus, the tank has had no leak or liquid overflowing ! Which is very pleasant.
Changing the coil is very easy and you don’t need to empty the tank. That’s great ! I used the 0.7ohm coil. It offers a warm to hot steam.
And the draw can be adjusted from very tight to aerial restrictive.

Have you encountered any difficulties ?
No.

Who would you recommend this kit to ?
Honestly for any levels. I think it will work for beginner because it’s very easy to use and the draw can be adapted (from very tight to restrictive aerial). For a more experienced vaper, the design and the fact that you can change the size of the box is a big plus.
