With its Obelisk 65 FC, Geekvape gives us the 1st fast charging Podmod in the world.

Let's talk about this kit

The Sweetch team is delighted to share its enthusiasm for this new addition to Geekvape's Obelisk range. 

A pod with a truly original design and a tech-chic look. Compact and practical, it’s discreet in the hand. Shock and water proof with an anti-scratch coating, its finish is of very high quality.

The great technical innovation of this Pod is found in the 2 letters that follow its name, FC for Fast Charging. With a 100% charge time of 18 minutes, the Obelisk 65 FC becomes the first Podmod with fast charging via USB-C. Geek Vape, which uses only its own batteries, has placed 2x 1100 mAh batteries in its Obelisk 65 FC for a total autonomy of 2200 mAh guaranteeing long vaping hours. In OTG mode, it can even be used as a powerbank to charge your smartphone.  This kit has passed the dreaded TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) test for quality, reliability, sustainability, and safety.

The Obelisk 65 FC Pod is equipped with a magnetised Obelisk 65 cartridge containing the tank and the coil. With a capacity of 4.5ml, the direct access tank provides a top-fill to avoid any risk of accidental leakage. You have total control over the airflow thanks to an adjustment ring placed under the Drip Tip for an aerial vape according to your style of vaping.

This cartridge is compatible with all Geekvape B Series coils for guaranteed quality. Two coils come with the kit : 

  • 0.2 ohm B Series Ni80 (pre-installed) to use between 50 and 58 watts for a quick start and an aerial vape.
  • 0.4 ohm B Series Kanthal A1 to use between 25 and 35 watts for a smoother and tastier vape.


The Obelisk 65 FC is regulated by Geekvape's AS chipset and delivers a maximum power of 65W. It can be operated from a bright 0.96" TFT screen that provides access to a wide range of settings, including Smart/VW/TC(SS)/TCR and Bypass modes.

We' ve asked Arnaud, CEO and Product Manager at Sweetch, to test this Obelisk 65 FC Pod. He paired it with Al-Kimiya's Love Philter - Heavy Heart Edition e-liquid.

He shared his impressions with us : 


What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?

When I got it, I thought "oh, another pod...". So sure, it's pretty, it looks solid and reliable (Geekvape's finishes), but I wondered what makes it stand out from others.

Aesthetically, this e-cigarette is really nice, the colours are original, and its curves are harmonious which is not necessarily the case with all pods on the market.

How was it getting started ?

So easy ! This type of vaping device is very simple to use and very intuitive. Everything is done so that the vaper can use it quickly and independently.

As for ergonomics, the Obelisk podmod fits in the palm of the hand and is very pleasant to touch (no sharp edges).

How was your experience with this kit ?

I decided to test it with the latest addition to the Al-Kimiya brand, the Heavy Heart Edition which is the 3rd version of the famous Love Philter, a delicious and fruity e-juice.

The first thing I did was to fill my tank, and that's when I realize the capacity provided by the Obelisk cartridge of 4.5ml. So yes, it's a pod, but with an amazing capacity (no need to fill it 7 times a day) and that’s a big plus !

Then I placed my tank on the battery (I removed the tab under the coil first...) and I was about to set the power. But the " Smart " mode was already activated, so the power adapted to my coil, and I only had to press the " switch " to vape. Big clouds, superb flavour restitution and a smooth and soft vape.

Have you encountered any difficulties ? 

None ! The instructions are simple and clear if you need them, and they come in different languages !

Who would you recommend this kit to ? 

I would recommend it to everyone who want to vape in DL (aerial draw), but I admit I thought a lot about those who often ask me for " a simple e-cig, small, with a great capacity, a good autonomy and that produces a lot of steam ". Normally, it's complicated to get everything in one device but the Obelisk ticks all the boxes ! In fact, the only problem is the autonomy, limited to 2200mah, but because it’s fully recharged in less than 20 minutes, it' s no big deal.
