The DotBox 220W V2 Kit is a dual-battery sub-ohm setup designed for vapers who love big clouds, controlled power and advanced customisation.

A dual 18650 battery mod capable of 220W

The DotBox runs on two 18650 batteries (not included), giving it excellent battery life and a maximum power output of 220 watts. This design will particularly appeal to vapers accustomed to powerful setups who want to vape all day without running out of power.

TEST KIT DOTBOX 220W V2

We asked Paco, manager of the Sweetch shop in Lausanne, to test the kit for 10 days. For this test, he paired the DotBox 220W V2 with the Strawberry Blackberry e-liquid from the Les 4 Saisons range by French manufacturer Protect. Here is his feedback.

What was your first impression of this kit?

To be honest, the first thing that catches your eye is the finish. You can tell straight away that this is a Dotmod: it’s clean, elegant and premium. The kit is imposing without being heavy or bulky. It inspires confidence the moment you pick it up. The tank, which matches the box perfectly, really reinforces this impression of a high-end setup.

How did it feel to use?

It’s very easy to use. The interface is intuitive, the display is clear, and the lock switch is absolutely brilliant for everyday use. It’s exactly the sort of detail you get used to very quickly. The menu is comprehensive without being complicated. Even someone new to dual-battery mod pods can get the hang of it quite quickly. 

What has been your experience with this kit?

I mainly used the 0.30-ohm coil with Protect’s Fraise Mûre, and the flavour was really excellent.

The vapour is thick and smooth, with excellent flavour delivery. The strawberry and blackberry notes come through perfectly without being overpowering.

The top airflow also offers great comfort: no leaks, a smooth draw and effective heat management, even over several sessions.

Battery life is also a real highlight. With two 18650 batteries, it easily lasts the whole day

Did you encounter any difficulties? 

Not really.

The only thing to bear in mind is that this kit isn’t designed for beginners. You’ll need to have some basic knowledge of batteries, wattage and coils. It’s a setup that’s better suited to someone who already knows what they’re looking for in their vaping experience.

Who would you recommend this kit to?  

I would definitely recommend it to intermediate to expert vapers. Especially those who enjoy DL vaping, big clouds, premium setups and want durable equipment.
