10 days with the iJust Mini Kit from Eleaf

Introduction

Eleaf Electronics Co., Ltd., has been on the market since 2011 and is based in Shenzhen. The brand quickly became known for its constant efforts and its creative vision. Their lead product ? The iStick collection. Today they rely above all on innovative designs, great elegance, high quality and excellent customer service.

Let's talk about this kit

The iJust Mini Kit is a super compact all-in-one : 104mm in height, 22mm in diameter and weighs 90g. Its tube shape and drip tip really give it a special look.
The base of the kit has a Switch button and a micro-USB port. It has a built-in 1100mAh battery that gives it excellent battery life.

The atomizer comes with a pre-installed Pyrex that has a capacity of 2ml and a replacement Pyrex bulb of 3ml. To fill it, just lift the top cape slightly and push it to the spot indicated by a small arrow. The bean-shaped filling hole is wide enough to accommodate any form of dropper. A small silicone lining ensures a clean filling and avoids any liquid overflow. To change the resistance, simply unscrew the base of the atomizer, remove the resistance and put a new one. The resistance should not be screwed, but simply placed.

Note that by unscrewing the atomizer from the base, a system automatically closes the bottom of it, which prevents the liquid from leaking. So, you can change the resistance without having to empty the liquid. It's really convenient !

Two resistances come with this kit :

1. A 1.2ohm nichrome GT intended for a tight cigarette-like vape. It’s ideal for high nicotine levels.
2. A 0.6ohm GT M intended for a shisha-like aerial vape. It offers greater steam production and better rendering of flavours.

The iJust automatically adapts its power to the installed resistance. However, it offers the possibility to switch between 3 different powers (low, medium and high) by quickly pressing 3 times on the Switch. It’s equipped with 2 airflows : one with small holes, more suitable for a tight vape, and the second with a wide opening, more suitable for an aerial vape. Between the airflows and the different powers, it offers really good options to adapt the vaping to your desires !

To start using it, it only takes 5 quick clicks on the Switch to turn the iJust on or off. The LED that lights up indicates the remaining battery level (green = 100-60% / blue = 59-20% / red < 20%).

To change the power level, just quickly press the Switch 3 times. By pressing quickly twice, the colour of the LED will let you know the power level you are in : green = high / blue = medium and red = low. Finally, just hold the Switch button down to activate the iJust during inhalation.

The base has a 22mm diameter that can accommodate other atomizers with the same diameter. It recognises resistances between 0.3 and 3ohm. Let’s also mention that the iJust is equipped with different security features.

We’ve asked Denise, executive assistant at Sweetch, to test this kit. She paired it with Wink's e-liquid Heaven Addict, a delicious blend of blackcurrant and raspberry, completed with a secret ingredient. She shared her impressions with us :

What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?

It has a particular design due to its small size and the shape of its drip tip. A bit chunky, but it fits well in the palm of the hand. And feels solid.

How was it getting started ?

It was very easy to get started. The kit also comes with 2 user manuals, one to turn it on and one to use it. Useful if in doubt !

How was your experience with this kit ?

Simply unscrew the atomizer, choose the resistance based on the type of vaping you want, soak it and slide it into the atomizer. Fill it, wait for the resistance to be nicely soaked and it's ready.

For the 1.2ohm resistance, I would recommend choosing the lowest power mode to start, then gradually go up. It only takes 3 quick clicks on the Switch when the e-cig is activated.

The iJust Mini Kit small size allows it to fit easily in the palm of your hand, and the Switch is well positioned. Basically, it’s very ergonomic.

In terms of battery life, it holds up really well. It has a very nice steam production, which can really be tailored according to preferences. The rendering of flavours is good, especially with the 0.6ohm resistance.

Have you encountered any difficulties ?

Who would you recommend this kit to ?

It can really work for beginners, especially since it’s progressive. You can really go from a cigarette-like vape to an aerial vape.

It can also work for a more experienced vaper or as a back-up kit.

A complete kit, tube shaped, with a nice design. A capacity of 2-3ml depending on the installed Pyrex - both come with the kit, a straight and a bulb one -, a 1100mAh battery and many possible settings. Easy to use and with the possibility to go from a tight vape to an aerial vape, it has everything to satisfy both beginners and more experienced vapers.
