TEST OF THE INNOKIN COOLFIRE P60 KIT

For this test, we gave the CoolFire P60 to Arnaud, our CEO and product manager, who used it for 10 days with the Watermelon Lychee e-liquid from the Potion Curieuse edition by French manufacturer Curieux. Here are his impressions:


What was your first impression of this kit?

Honestly, the first thing that struck me was the look. You can immediately tell that it's a well-crafted product: the combination of metal and imitation leather gives it a premium feel that I love. It's sturdy, yet lightweight! When you pick it up, it has that "technological gem" feel without being over the top. I immediately felt that this was a device I could rely on every day.

How easy was it to get started?

Honestly, it's a kit that you can get to grips with in a matter of minutes. The buttons are well placed, navigating the menu is intuitive, and the screen displays the essentials:

Power, resistance, battery level... nothing superfluous. I set the power to 45W with a resistance of 0.4Ω. What I liked was the adjustable airflow directly on the cartridge. In two quick steps, I can switch from a very airy draw to send out big clouds to a tighter draw to focus on the flavours. And the side filling is the kind of detail you appreciate: no need to dismantle the cartridge, no leaks, and you can fill it even on the go.

What is your experience with this kit?

With Curieux's Watermelon Lychee, it's just a treat. The 0.4Ω coil brings out the juicy freshness of the watermelon and the sweet fragrance of the lychee, with perfect balance. The vapour is dense but not too hot, which makes it very pleasant.

I also tested the 0.8Ω coil for MTL. This is a different style: a stronger hit and more concentrated flavour, perfect for gourmet or tobacco liquids. What I like is that even at low power, the flavours remain clean and clear.

In terms of battery life, I easily lasted a full day with sustained use at 0.4Ω. With the 0.8Ω, I even went over two days without recharging.

Did you encounter any difficulties? 

I would say that the only slightly frustrating thing is the brightness of the screen in direct sunlight: you have to stand in the shade to read the information.

Who would you recommend this kit to?

Clearly, everyone... but not for the same reasons. For a motivated first-time vaper, it's a great investment: easy to use, robust and upgradeable. For an experienced vaper, it's an excellent backup kit or everyday companion: enough power for heavy RDL, and precise MTL for quieter moments. And for flavour enthusiasts, with the PZP Max coils, you're really at the top of your game.
