A smart and versatile pod

The Drag S3 retains the aesthetic features that made its predecessors so successful : a zinc alloy body enhanced with leather finishes for a grip that is as comfortable as it is sturdy. Its 0.96-inch colour TFT screen clearly displays all the essential information (power, battery life, number of puffs, coil).

But the big new feature is its smart touch switch from Everest Lab. This capacitive button reacts to touch : a light touch to unlock and vape, release to lock instantly. No more accidental activation in your pocket!

The Gene.TT chipset powers the pod to a maximum output of 60W, powered by a built-in 3000mAh battery. Three vape modes are available :

• SMART : automatically adjusts the ideal power according to the coil used.

• RBA : allows complete manual control of the watts.

• ECO : extends battery life.

The 5 ml PnP X MTL cartridge comes with two coils (0.6 ohm and 0.8 ohm) and adjustable top airflow. It promises a precise draw, excellent flavour reproduction and, above all, extensive compatibility with the entire PnP X and PnP X V2 range.

For this test, Julien, manager of the Sweetch shop in Geneva, used the Drag S3 for 10 days. He paired it with Lyon Mon Ptit Bouchon (Hexagone Edition) e-liquid from French manufacturer Curieux. Here is his feedback.


What was your first impression of this kit ?

What struck me right away was the quality of the construction. You can tell that Voopoo has taken it up a notch. The feel of the leather, the sturdiness of the body, the compactness... everything inspires confidence. At first, I was sceptical about the touch switch, but after a few hours, I found it very intuitive.

How easy was it to get started ?

Installation is quick and easy. Fill the cartridge from the side, wait a few minutes for the coil to soak up the liquid, and you're ready to go. The interface is clear and the menu is well designed. In Smart mode, the pod manages the power itself, which is perfect for beginners.

What is your experience with this kit ?

In 10 days, I haven't had any issues. The draw is smooth and precise, and the flavours of the e-liquid come through incredibly well. The 0.8 ohm coil gave me a tight draw, ideal for MTL. The battery easily lasts the whole day, if not longer.

Did you encounter any difficulties ? 

Not really. The only thing is that you have to remove the cartridge to refill the tank. It's not a big deal, but some people might prefer a top-fill system.
