Uwell Caliburn G5: a versatile 35 W pod with a 1600 mAh battery

Uwell’s Caliburn G5 kit revamps the renowned Caliburn range of e-cigarettes with more comprehensive features and greater customisation options. Equipped with a built-in 1600 mAh battery, a maximum power output of 35 W and adjustable airflow, this pod allows you to switch from a tight draw to a more open draw depending on the pod used.

Its compact size and intuitive operation make it an attractive choice for vapers looking for an e-cigarette that’s easy to carry, without compromising on flavour quality or essential settings.

A compact design and a customisable interface

The Caliburn G5 features an aluminium chassis with a matt finish, designed to minimise fingerprints and provide a comfortable grip. Measuring 118.65 x 28.85 x 16.8 mm and weighing just 65 g, it slips easily into a pocket.

Uwell also adds a modern touch with a visual interface whose theme varies depending on the pod’s colour. The overall design remains clear and user-friendly, suitable for everyday use.

Two vaping modes: Waves and Storm

The Caliburn G5 offers two modes to tailor the vaping experience to your preferences:

• Waves mode: prioritises a smooth, consistent vapour delivery and a gentle, steady vape
• Storm mode: offers a more dynamic response for a more intense experience

Adjusting the airflow also allows you to change the draw resistance, for an experience ranging from MTL (mouth-to-lung) to RDL (restricted direct lung).

The device can be activated automatically upon inhalation via the autodraw function, or manually using the button. The Smart Triple-Tap control allows you to access certain functions by tapping the device three times. This option can be disabled according to your preferences.

A built-in 1600 mAh battery, rechargeable via USB-C

With its 1600 mAh capacity, the Caliburn G5 offers a comfortable battery life for a pod device in this category. The duration of use naturally depends on the power setting, the coil installed and how frequently you vape.

Uwell claims up to six days’ battery life under certain usage conditions. Charging is via USB-C using a compatible 5 V/2 A power supply.

Please note: the USB-C cable is not included in the kit.

Three 3 ml cartridges included for a variety of vaping experiences

The Caliburn G5 stands out for its generous inclusion of accessories: three cartridges are supplied, each with a built-in coil. This allows you to explore several vaping styles right from the first use.

GPP Alpha 0.6 ohm cartridge: the new AlphaCore technology

The GPP Alpha cartridge is one of the key new features of this generation. Thanks to AlphaCore technology, Uwell aims to maintain stable flavour delivery for longer and improve the cartridge’s lifespan.

It also features a design intended to minimise leaks and a soft-touch TPU mouthpiece that feels pleasant against the lips. Its 0.6 ohm resistance is suitable for a draw that lies between an open MTL and a moderate RDL.

GPP 0.4 and 0.6 ohm pods: two complementary experiences

• GPP 0.4 ohm: designed for a lighter RDL vape, with greater vapour production. Recommended e-liquids: PG/VG ratios from 40/60 to 30/70, with a nicotine strength of up to 6 mg/ml
• GPP 0.6 ohm: suitable for an open MTL or moderate RDL. Recommended e-liquids: PG/VG ratios from 50/50 to 40/60, with a nicotine strength of up to 12 mg/ml
• GPP Alpha 0.6 ohm: designed for long-lasting flavour delivery, with the same PG/VG and nicotine recommendations as the GPP 0.6 ohm

These guidelines make it easier to choose a pod based on your e-liquid and vaping habits. For a tighter MTL draw, GPP 0.9 ohm pods are also available separately.

Compatibility with Caliburn GPP and G3 pods

The Caliburn G5 is compatible with GPP cartridges as well as compatible Caliburn G3 cartridges. This versatility allows you to continue using certain cartridges previously used with earlier generations and to access a range of resistance values without changing devices.

How do you refill and maintain the Caliburn G5?

Each pod has a 3 ml tank. To refill it, remove the pod from the device, open the refill port, pour in your e-liquid, then carefully close the port before reinserting the pod.

When using a new cartridge for the first time, wait about ten minutes after filling it. This step allows the cotton in the coil to soak up the e-liquid properly and reduces the risk of a burnt taste.

A reduction in flavour, a decrease in vapour production or the appearance of an unpleasant taste generally indicate that it is time to replace the pod.
