Let’s talk about this kit

The Gen 220W Kit with a double battery from Vaporesso is a sober and stylish kit.

The box :
The Gen 220W is rectangular in shape with rather imposing dimensions: 93.5 x 27 x 54. At first you might think it’s made of plastic, but it’s not. It has 4 protective aluminium layers that protect it from scratches.
With a honeycomb aspect, it’s very pleasant to the touch and surprisingly light considering it has a double battery. It should also be noted that the gradient on the blue and red colours is simply beautiful.
One of the sides is a removable door giving access to the compartment that houses the 2x 18650 batteries (not included). It’s possible to charge the box using the micro-USB port, although it’s recommended to use an external charger for greater battery durability. On the side, a copper-like Fire button, a 0.91' OLED display and 3 buttons allow you to access and navigate the menu.
It’s equipped with a state-of-the-art Axon Chipset and offers 4 modes of operation :

• Pulse : allows to control the wattage from 5 to 220W : the box sends a signal every 0.02 seconds to boost steam and flavours, without any loss of power. However, the batteries will discharge more quickly with this mode.
• Smart TC : allows for intelligent temperature control. It recognizes and adapts to the type of resistive wire used. So, in the event of a change of resistance or atomizer, a very short automatic activation will detect the installed resistance and automatically adjust the settings.
• Eco : extends battery life when it’s low, just like on our smartphones with the "energy saving" mode.
• DIY : contains the traditional modes : VW, VV, VT, CCW, Bypass and SP.

The SKRR-S :
The SKRR-S is an atomizer with a capacity of 8ml or 5ml with the replacement Pyrex provided, ideal for cloud chasing !
It has 3 airflows, pretty small, that offer a very aerial vaping. It has a leak-proof system consisting of an internal bell that blows air on the sides and is closed on top, which avoids any liquid overflow when taking large puffs !
Don’t tell anyone, but we've even been told it's waterproof up to 2600m !
To fill, simply unscrew the top cap and fill the tank with the bean-shaped opening provided for this purpose.
It comes with 2 resistances : a Meshed QF 0.2ohm and a QF Strips 0.15ohm. They’re made out of traditional cotton and linen, which gives the resistance an exceptional capillarity and a long lifespan.
They also offer an excellent rendering of flavours and above all an impressive amount of steam !
The SKRR-S is also compatible with the GT Core from Vaporesso.

We’ve asked Arnaud, Product Manager at Sweetch, to test this kit. He paired it with the VDLV Cirkus Apple-Pear liquid, a delicious fruity liquid. He shared his impressions with us :

What was your first impression when you saw this kit ?
I think it's beautiful ! The clean design, the colours and the gradient are really well done.

How was it getting started ?
It was very easy. It’s downright a very accessible box to handle. The settings are really simple : just press the middle button for 3 seconds to access the menus. Navigating between different modes is very easy. And, it automatically detects the value of the installed resistance or a change of atomizer, making it effortless to use.

How was your experience with this kit ?
I was very surprised by the weight. It’s super light (202g with the batteries), despite the fact it has two batteries.
The soft touch is really nice. It’s neither cold nor hot and has no angles. It's just soft, actually.
The setting was set at 47W. I really had a great rendering of flavours and a very smooth vape with the Pulse function. I tested the same atomizer and the same liquid on another box (the Alien from Smok, a double battery model that we use to sell) and I didn’t get the same taste at all. With the Gen 220W it’s more accurate, more precise, we can taste both fruits and their different flavours. With The Alien, we have a sweet and fruity blend.
The SKRR keeps its promises : no liquid overflow, large amount of steam, super easy filling and huge capacity. The only downside may be the consumption of liquid. But you can't go cloud chasing using only a little amount of liquid !
The whole thing is very ergonomic. The grip is really nice.
Fun detail, we can adjust the watts to the decimal. Let’s note that the magnetized side does not move at all. And the buttons are also very good quality.

Have you encountered any difficulties ?
None.

Who would you recommend this kit to ?
It’s really easy to use, so no need to be an expert. An intermediate vaper, who’s been vaping for a short time, could feel very comfortable using the Gen. On the other hand, it’s really intended for cloud chasers. I would not necessarily recommend it for first time vapers, for beginners who started vaping with the aim to quit smoking. It's not its positioning, but it's just a matter of vaping orientation.
