For this test, we gave the DotAIO V3 to David, an experienced member of the Sweetch team, who works as a salesperson in Lausanne and Geneva. He used the kit for 10 days, paired with Fruits des bois e-liquid from the Vincent range by VDLV, a French manufacturer and long-standing partner of Sweetch, renowned for the quality of its flavours.


What was your first impression of this kit?

When I picked up the DotAIO V3 for the first time, I immediately recognised what I love about Dotmod. You can tell straight away that it's a well-finished, solid product with a real sense of quality. The aluminium feels nice in your hand, the adjustments are clean, and nothing feels cheap.

What really struck me was how much it has evolved compared to previous versions. You can tell that Dotmod has taken vapers' feedback on board. The colour screen is a real game changer: it's easy to read, bright and much more modern than what we had before. It's not just an aesthetic addition, it makes everyday use much more enjoyable.

How did the handover go?

Frankly, it's easy to get to grips with. Despite the various options offered by the chipset, everything remains clear and easy to understand. The menus are smooth, the buttons are well placed, and you don't spend your time searching for settings.

The Auto mode is a real bonus. It automatically adjusts the power to the resistance installed, allowing you to start without any hassle. In terms of format, the DotAIO V3 remains very pleasant to use. It fits comfortably in the hand, does not slip, and remains compact despite its capacity to reach up to 80 watts.

What is your experience with this kit?

Over several days of use, the DotAIO V3 proved to be very reliable. I alternated between the DotAIO V4 tank with a 0.3 ohm DotCoil coil and the 0.6 ohm pod cartridge, which allowed me to test different vaping styles.

With VDLV's Fruits des Bois, the flavours are really well reproduced. The aromas are clean and well defined, without being cloying, even when you push the power a little. The vape is stable and consistent, and the chipset does its job well.

The airflow is precise and allows you to really adjust the draw. Once you've found the right setting, the vape is smooth and enjoyable. In terms of battery life, with a good 18650 battery, I can easily get through the day without needing to recharge.

Did you encounter any difficulties? 

Honestly, no. I haven't encountered any particular problems. No leaks, no faulty connections, no strange behaviour. Everything works as expected, which is reassuring for equipment of this calibre.

The only thing I often point out is that the DotAIO V3 deserves a little time to be set up correctly, especially in terms of airflow. It's not complicated, but it really allows you to tailor the vape to your tastes. It's clearly a kit for vapers who like to understand their equipment.

Who would you recommend this kit to?

I would recommend the DotAIO V3 to intermediate to advanced vapers, or to customers who want to upgrade to something of higher quality. It is a very good choice for those looking for a versatile, reliable and upgradeable AIO, without having to change equipment depending on their vaping style.

For me, this kit clearly represents what we expect from a high-end e-cigarette today: an attractive product that performs well, is pleasant to use and is designed to last.
