Uwell Caliburn GPP Alpha pods: long-lasting flavours and improved durability

Uwell’s Caliburn GPP Alpha cartridges take the G Pod platform to the next level with a design aimed at extending usage time and maintaining consistent flavour delivery. Designed for compatible e-cigarettes in the Caliburn G3, G4 and G5 series, they offer a new alternative to standard GPP cartridges.

Each cartridge features a mesh coil, a 3 ml tank and a side-fill system. Sold in packs of three, the GPP Alpha cartridges are available in several coil resistances to suit different draw preferences, from mouth-to-lung (MTL) to restricted direct-lung (RDL) vaping.

AlphaCore technology: up to over 50 ml of e-liquid per pod

The main innovation of this generation lies in the AlphaCore technology developed by Uwell. It is designed to minimise flavour degradation over time and extend the lifespan of the built-in coil.

According to tests carried out by the manufacturer, a GPP Alpha cartridge can withstand at least 17 refills, equivalent to over 50 ml of vapourised e-liquid. These figures are indicative only: actual lifespan depends, in particular, on the e-liquid used, the vapour output and the frequency of use.

U² and PRO-FOCS technologies: a flavour-focused design

The GPP Alpha also benefits from Uwell’s tried-and-tested technologies:

• U²: combines a U-shaped air channel design with ultrasonic welding to minimise the risk of leaks
• PRO-FOCS: helps deliver precise and consistent flavour delivery
• Integrated mesh coil: ensures heating is tailored to the selected resistance value

These features complement AlphaCore to offer a convenient pod, with flavour delivery designed to remain consistent across multiple refills.

A Soft-Touch TPU mouthpiece for greater comfort

Uwell fits GPP Alpha cartridges with an ergonomic mouthpiece coated in Soft-Touch TPU. Softer against the lips than a conventional rigid mouthpiece, it improves comfort during use, particularly during prolonged vaping sessions.

Which GPP Alpha coil to choose: 0.4, 0.6 or 0.9 ohms?

The Caliburn GPP Alpha cartridges are available in three coil resistances, each suited to a specific vaping style and e-liquid compositions.

GPP Alpha 0.4 ohm: a light RDL vape

The 0.4 ohm version is designed for vapers who prefer a relatively open draw and greater vapour production.

• Maximum power: 35 W
• Inhalation type: Open RDL
• Recommended PG/VG ratio: 40/60 to 30/70
• Recommended nicotine strength: up to 6 mg/ml

GPP Alpha 0.6 ohm: a balance between flavour and vapour

The 0.6 ohm coil offers a more moderate RDL draw, ideal for users who wish to maintain good flavour expression with less vapour.

• Maximum power: 25 W
• Inhalation type: RDL
• Recommended PG/VG ratio: 50/50 to 40/60
• Recommended nicotine strength: up to 12 mg/ml

GPP Alpha 0.9 ohm: an indirect MTL draw

The 0.9 ohm coil offers a tighter draw, similar to that of a traditional cigarette. It is particularly suitable for vapers who use e-liquids with a higher nicotine concentration, provided they are compatible with their device.

• Maximum power: 15 W
• Inhalation type: MTL
• Recommended PG/VG ratio: 60/40 to 50/50
• Recommended nicotine strength: up to 20 mg/ml

Compatibility of Caliburn GPP Alpha cartridges

GPP Alpha cartridges use Uwell’s G Pod platform and are compatible with suitable devices from the following ranges:

• Caliburn G3
• Caliburn G4
• Caliburn G5

Please note: compatibility may vary depending on the exact model of e-cigarette and the selected resistance value. Check the manufacturer’s instructions before purchasing.

How do you refill a Caliburn GPP Alpha cartridge?

The 3 ml tank features a side-fill mechanism that can be accessed without removing the cartridge from the battery.

1. Gently lift the silicone flap on the side.
2. Insert the tip of your e-liquid bottle into the filling port.
3. Fill the tank without exceeding its 3 ml capacity.
4. Carefully close the tab to ensure it is sealed.
5. When using for the first time, wait approximately 10 minutes to allow the cotton in the coil to soak up the e-liquid properly.

When should a GPP Alpha cartridge be replaced?

As the coils are integrated into the cartridges, they cannot be replaced individually. You must replace the entire cartridge when its performance begins to decline.

A loss of flavour, reduced vapour production or the development of an unpleasant taste – particularly a burnt taste – generally indicate that replacement is necessary.
